Scientist

In the middle of the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places in the world.
At the edge of Colca Canyon, the deepest canyon in the world.
At Colca Canyon in the Andean Highlands. I was really missing my dog, but petting an alpaca was helping me make it through.

I am a scientist. Addressing life’s unknown questions inspires me to get up in the morning. Whether its in the lab or 3000 miles away in a remote field site. Science is awesome!

My dog, Luna, is the best dog in the whole world (tied for first with every other dog). She loves to play, nap, relax in the sun, and go on hikes with me. She loves to play with her sister, Cassius, my brother’s dog.

Aquarist

I developed a new aquarium hobby during the lockdown. This is a 20 gallon freshwater tank. There are two dwarf flame gourami, along with neon tetra and cory catfish. I realized that my background in environmental chemistry made me well-suited for aquaria.
